Life is a Challenge!

GOOD JOB HOGGY WASN'T HERE!

Always lots to do before going on holiday - even if you are only going in this country.  Of course, Mr HCB’s priority is the garden so he is busy out there.  I did help in the garden yesterday by weeding some of the pots and although it felt good, after half an hour, I’d had enough.  Mr. HCB said it had helped him though, so that's the main thing and it freed him up to do something else.

This morning I went to the hairdresser - always relaxing.  I asked for a much shorter cut today, bearing in mind I may have to change it if my second cataract operation is scheduled.  As always, Fran was happy to oblige and I’m pleased with the result. However, it was a good job Hoggy wasn't around to see these hedgehog hairbrushes, he would have been quite affronted!

I'm now going to a meeting at church with a friend - led by an older member of our Church well, older than my friend, but younger than me! We will be  talking about baptism as my friend L, who is a new Christian really wants to be baptised and become a Church member.

I remember our Baptism and how excited I was about being baptised by full immersion.  It was an amazing experience and it is a joy to see L so enthusiastic about this important step in her Christian life.

Even though I have been a Christian for many years - in fact since I was 10 years old, I am still learning and find these meetings very encouraging and stimulating.  I guess if we think we know it all and stop learning, then it's a downhill path and very arrogant too.

It’s a beautiful sunny day and although we will be packing jumpers perhaps we won’t need them! Maybe summer is definitely coming - let's hope so.
