Batman and.........

………Robin

I was in the garden trying to photograph some flowers when this little chap ( a recently fledged and newly independent robin) decided to join me. He seemed to have no fear of me. He hopped around my feet for a while and even landed on the table next to me. He hopped around in the flowerbed trying out plants to see whether they would hold his weight (most of them didn’t so he just fell off!). It was a perfect opportunity for some great close-ups but of course I had my macro lens on the camera :-(( Fortunately he came close enough for me to grab this shot of him sitting on our compost bin.

It is a strange thrill to be so close to wild things.
