Life on the Good Intent

The Road to Skipness

I didn't want to leave today. After I had packed up my tent I set off to try some more landscape photography. Despite crystal clear skies and azure seas most of my efforts were woeful - as I had time on my hands I decided to head over to other side of the Mull of Kintyre and try to get some surefire stunning shots of Arran - another fail, the winter has left the mountains bleached out and the sharp clear air was doing nothing to enhance what was a wonderful view but a dull photograph (in my hands).
Also why do I find it so difficult to get my horizons straight?
So I turned back with a heavy heart and looked round and liked the way the road undulates.
There's always another day.

I couldn't decide whether this would be my entry for the WBC or to nominate Sunset over Jura, but in case sunsets don't count, the road to one of my favourite places in the world is my entry.
