Palace!

We had a family trip to the Palace of Holyroodhouse for Cyclops' MBE Investiture today! You can see the Royal Standard flying behind us all signifying the sovereign is in residence!  

There are quite a lot of people receiving awards so there is a bit of waiting around, and CyclopsJnr did really well at being patient.  He was quite excited to see the King, and to shake Cyclops' hand after he had just shaken hands with the King!

We went for a nice lunch afterwards at the Grand Cafe (at the Scotsman Hotel) then headed home.

CyclopsJnr was pleased to change into his shorts and t-shirt and go and run around in the street with our neighbours for a bit, without having to worry about carefully manicured lawns or valuable antique furniture...
