le monde sur Northampton, Massachusetts

The world above Northampton Hotel, that is. Tonight is our last night in Northampton with John and Marylee. John and I went out tonight and I borrowed his camera for this blip because my little pocket jobbie won't do justice to the image I wanted which is what you see here. My research here went well. I shot over 5,000 images of documents and such here over the course of three full days - about 9 solid hours a day photographing and rummaging. Lots of great material, lots of other stuff to go through. John figures between last year's 3,000 shots and this year's 5,000 shots, I'm probably about 90% through his holdings of his father's papers. Next month to his brother Bill's home in Chicago. Bill promises "likely not 1/50th what John has" but I'm welcome to it.
