It might as well be in Outer Mongolia than London for all the impact it will have north of the "mince and tattie line", and thats not sour grapes, because we will never be able to get, afford (with the travelling and staying costs) tickets for the big event, let alone share in the facilities afterwards.
As for Boris now being in the worlds eye, god help us all, that they think he's representative of the rest of us.

It will do bugger all for the rest of the uk, manchester has a fantastic velodrome where most of the crop of medal winners train- its not being used - london are building their own, cardiff has a superb stadium... lets just spend 4 times the original billions budget to make it London, london, london and boillocks to the rest of the country.
