David Beckham

Got up before the crack of dawn this morning to catch the Eurostar to Paris... an Easter break with N (it's his birthday today) and we were on the trail of Monsieur Beckham!

Arrived at our hotel early, left our bags and headed off for a stroll along the banks of the Seine to the Ile de la Cité and Notre Dame. (All extremely blippable, I know.) Then a rather yummy lunch in the Latin Quarter, complete with a very nice bottle of Merlot.

An hour or so of sleep to make up for the early start and we headed off on the metro to Parc Des Princes for the football. Paris St Germain v Montpellier. PSG won 1-0.

We have N's colleague to thank for the tickets - N only knows one Frenchman (the right one, for this, it seems) and he knows someone who works behind the scenes at the club.... so one free ticket and one for five euros! N went for the footie and I went for David Beckham!
