Munnar

We are now up in one of the highest parts of Kerala, very near the border with Tamil Nadu, in the Western Ghats.

It is known as India's Scotland!

This is the view from our balcony at around 5.00/5.30pm. There had been a heavy down pour and as the dusk started to fall the mist drifted up the valley. It is quite a steep ravine where the roads winds up through the spice and tea plantations.The trees on the crest of the hill are Eucalyptus imported by the British for fuel and still used today in the tea factories. A very different India.

Went into the town of Munnar and bought some home made chocolate - Yumm - and ate it with tea in our room watching the mists progress.
