Brrrr-acing - viaduct walk
Took a route for our walk today to avoid the very wet and muddy paths and fields of our usual walks and one that encompassed views of all our neighbouring villages.
The wind was very wild but the sun shone all the way through the woods but as soon as we were out in the open the rain came along - sideways!
This is Hewenden Viaduct which is now a walking route and bridle path and we did at least get a little shelter from the high walls which actually make it hard for me to see the views anyway!
On returning via a lane on the opposite hill side the sun was shining again and we had lovely views of Cullingworth, Wilsden and Harden and my childhood home which I have photographed from here before here.
It was all very bracing and I enjoyed the long soak in the bath when I got back!
