Cold Morning Walk
This is the sky this morning at about 7.25am as I walked up Keighley Rd to the St Ives Estate for our morning walk. It got deeper and deeper until a deep orange ball crested the horizon. As this, happened my view was impeded by a wire fence that tops the wall to keep the horses in.
It was our first really cold morning with some frost on the cars but not a ground frost.
When we reached Coppice Pond at the end of our walk there was a newcomer present.
This single cygnet.
It looked a bit lost and bemused as all the ducks and geese squabbled for the food we had brought. It may have come from the canal but I don't know how it got here.
Hope it will be ok on its own.
