Mugdock Castle

Continuing my visits to Country Parks I took a trip today to Mugdock. Using a very good leaflet from the park shop I walked the "Water Way"which provided a very interesting 5 to 6 miles, taking in some fine views of Glasgow, two castles and two reservoirs. The weather was not great and hence the mono shot of the ruins of Mugdock Castle. The reservoirs on the walk contain Glasgow's water supply brought 26 miles from Loch Katrine via a system of tunnels and aqueducts which are outstanding feats of Victorian engineering and which use only gravity to control the flow of water.
Another visit to try other walks and to capture some better colour is a must I think
