Lapwing

Given that this is a backblip, I was quite surprised at how few photos I had to choose from for today's blip - only two; a Lapwing and a Linnet facing the wrong way. You've got the Lapwing.

We decided to investigate three birding hotspots just north of us on Benbecula - Coot Loch, Loch Mor & Stinky Bay. I suppose that the camera only got used twice it's a sign that there wasn't much that close and there wasn't that much unusual. We did have probable but very distant views of a Red-necked Phalarope and we did manage to work out why Stinky Bay is so called. So we'll put today down as a nice introduction to Uist birding.
