Literary Edinburgh
It is a public holiday in Edinburgh today, and in fact this is my first public holiday in a few years because in my last job the public holidays just got lumped in with annual leave and we could just take them when we wanted.
Had a literary day, visiting the free exhibitions at the National Library of Scotland and the Writers Museum. Mainly because I'd never been to either before.
The Writers Museum was like a local museum for local people. You could see a weird selection of mundane stuff such as so-and-so's sweeping brush and so-and-so's rocking horse, and a piece of glass from so-and-so's window. I love that!
This blip was taken in Lady Stair's Close, just off the Royal Mile near the Writers Museum.
