The London Day...

With the weekend nuptials being celebrated on the Sunday, we had a planned day to do a bit of exploring round what we found to be an incredible compressed collection of people in such a large area. It just unbelievably busy and crowded without being overly intrusive.

We managed to go and see Harry Potter's Platform 9 3/4 and get photos pushing the trolley through the wall, headed across to see Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament and Downing Street where we, completely randomly ran into Mum and Dad TFP. Next we through we were going to see Covent Garden market but through a slight mis-communication ended up in the very opposite end of the market spectrum of Camden Market. We did eventually get to Covent Garden then back to the Hotel for swims and getting changed before the Wedding eve family dinner.

The wedding eve partying was most bizzarre. We had a smallish (15 odd people, but minuscule compared to the actual wedding) dinner in the brilliant Betjemen Restaurant in St Pancras Station followed by a pre wedding party for the rest of the family and friends that wanted to pop along. It was mental coming out of the restaurant and greeting almost everyone the uncle, aunty and cousin sphere including other friends and stuff, all at once. Very, very nice to see everyone on the short early night just before the wedding.

We had a wonderfully filled day prior to the big event.

Notes on the Picture...
This statue is situated in the St Pancras Railway station where the EuroStar Channel Tunnel train (in the background) comes in. The whole station itself is such an impressive, massive space in itself, but it's also inhabited by this absolutely stunningly huge statue. For a bit of rough perspective, my head height is at about the small sculpturing under the platform circle that the two figures are standing on. It's HUGE....
