Shepherds or skeletons?!

Visited the Nativity Exhibition in our church today - lots and lots of different nativity scenes - all lovely in their own way.

This particular scene caused much amusement to F (9 year old grandson) - he thought the figures looked like skeletons and wondered if it was really based on "Pirates of the Caribbean - World's End" !! I suggested that perhaps there hadn't been any pale pink wool available to knit the figures. Hmmm?!
