American Coot Chicks
Went to a local park to take a breather for a few minutes on my way back from running an errand. There were these crazy little super colorful not too cute chicks hovering by the rock waiting for a parent to come and feed them, which they did often. I don't have the super zoom lens that is on my WANT list so couldn't get a close shot... this is the zoomiest I have and very cropped. But, wanted to show you the colors of these little guys :) Researched what they are and turns out to be American Coot.
I have discovered that I can now call out "CROW" from my deck and 'my' crow comes soaring in from the trees! She is of course rewarded :)
Had a lovely, but short, lunch with Annie's In Oregon today!! What a delightful human she is. I enjoyed the little time I had to spend with her. It was short because someone I totally spaced our lunch date as I was super scatterbrained with business stuff this morning. I was thrilled she didn't give up and shot me text. Thanks Annie!!!
All in All a good day :)
Happy Monday
