Peacock Worm
<back blip/>
Diving with on "Sound Diver" from Lochaline Dive Center this weekend. Had a fantastic day again - two great dives...
The first was on the wreck of the wreck of the Rondo, which I've done a few times. It's quite broken up and on a steep slope. I found these peacock worms on the underside - they build tubes for themselves then expose this fantastic, delicate, coloured feather out the end to catch passing food particles. They pull back into their tubes if disturbes, so you have to be careful with the camera...
Second dive was the wreck of the Thesis, another lovely wreck because most of the hull plates have fallen off so even if you go inside it's still pretty light. I've done the Thesis a few times too, but I never tire of it.
A fantastic weekend of diving!
