Evening stroll

The day began very promisingly, with bright sunshine at 7.00 am or so. But it clouded over later on, and by mid afternoon the sky had darkened, rolls of thunder could be heard and the rain returned. It wasn't until 8.00 pm or so that the situation improved and I began to think that an outdoor blip might be possible after all.

I went out to Sutton, along the north fringe of Dublin Bay, and actually went for a decent stroll along the cliff walk. Who would have thought that blipping would actually encourage me to take some healthy outdoor exercise. It's true, though -- blipping is good for your health. I set myself a target of walking as far as the Martello tower, and did just that, stepping gingerly around nasty squelchy puddles for the final part of the journey. It was 9.45 by the time I got home, unable to remember the last time I'd done anything like this. Me, out for an evening stroll? You've got to be joking!
