Santa, stop!
Time for the sales! We were out and about remarkably early, anxious to see if there were any really good bargains out there waiting to be snatched up (though I guess waiting until the 29th doesn't suggest any great sense of urgency). We'd spotted a tub chair which looked ideal for Carl's place as a replacement for one he already has which is perhaps a bit on the over-large side, and that was the main reason for the trip to Blanchardstown shopping centre. I spotted this sign in a window across the street when I went out to the car. Hopefully Santa followed instructions and kept the resident child happy.
I took a rather round-about route to Blanchardstown the last time we went there from Carl's place, mainly to avoid the M50 toll plaza. But the return journey using the M50 proved much more direct, so we decided to brave it both ways this time. It was remarkably quick and painless, though any time we made up was more than lost in the queue at the ridiculous lights at the top of the slip road off the N3. The chair was nicely reduced in price, so Carl ordered it. That out of the way, we checked out some other shops at our leisure. In actual fact, we spent several hours there, which is a surprisingly tiring experience.
I dropped Carl off at his place afterwards and was back home around 7.00, more than ready for another lazy evening.
