Kaleidoblossom
The usual Saturday routine of music session followed by a scoop or two afterwards and a bit of a chat. Chat today was largely about this year's trip abroad (what I like to think of as our musical pilgrimage). Increasingly, it looks as if it's going to be the smallest group in a good while, most probably just three of us. Having been given the all-clear to book for the end of May, just a week after the radiation treatment finishes, I was anxious to firm things up a bit more. We left Clontarf Castle with two of us deciding to book flights and concert tickets over the weekend. The original grand plan was to go on a multi-city trip, but now it's more likely that we'll spend most of the time in Freiburg (Germany), though I intend to go to a concert in Baden-Baden as well.
It was on the way back to the car that I saw a spectacular display of spring blossom (no idea what they are), and it seemed like a good candidate for another of my occasional kaleidoscope efforts. I headed over to Carl's place after stopping off first at home. We ordered in very nice Thai food from a place in Dún Laoghaire and then went out for a drink or two. For a change we went to Dalkey and spent until closing in a recently opened place (well, re-opened from its previous incarnation as The Inn).
