Oh no! Not again!!

I hosted today's music session (because of hosting difficulties, this is the third week in four that I've been in the hosting seat). A small turnout, but we had an excellent session with fascinating musical choices. All went well until ...

... I lifted the coffee pot and went to go to the kitchen to make some more. I think I tripped over the leg of a chair. Whatever caused it, I went flying and fell rather dramatically face-first onto the floor. The coffee pot (fortunately empty) flew in a different direction, as did my glasses. Everyone gasped as they heard the thud and saw my acrobatic act. We were all shocked in our various ways, but I picked myself up without incident or apparent injury ... until time went by and I became increasingly aware of pain in my wrist. I knew from the feel of it that I hadn't broken it, but had only suffered a sprain.

I took the advice of the lads while enjoying a refreshing bottle of Bulmers cider in the local pub and went next door to seek advice from my friendly pharmacist. He gave me a support bandage and prescribed a short course of anti-inflamatory painkillers. Despite the pain and inconvenience I drove over to Carl's for a bit of nursing. We had a pleasant bite to eat and watched a couple of recorded episodes of The Returned.
