Steam Punk, Aethertractor.

I thought I would share a bit of Steam Punk with you today.

This is "Aethertractor" and it is on loan to Timaru from the Steam Punk HQ Collection Oamaru, our neighbouring town which is full of Steam Punk and well worth a visit.
Steam Punk is such fun and so cleaver the way they have pieced these marvellous together, a good bit of which has come from old steam trains and carriages that got cast down an embankment into the sea to protect the line from being washed away. A few years ago they found them and the old goods yard was full of rusted bits of trains with pebbles embedded in them. now they have a new life as amazing art work for us all to enjoy.
