Paua (Blue) Pearl
This is beautiful necklace that Dave gave me for my birthday about 3 years ago. It is a paua pearl - a pearl made by a NZ shellfish called paua. Every NZer has either eaten paua, collected the shells or worn some sort of paua jewellery. These pearls do not occur naturally and have to be cultivated.
My friend L (My Collection) very kindly brought in her macros lens today and told me to take it home for the weekend and play with it. From tonight's experiments I see it is a whole new technique - dof is quite different so I shall no doubt bombard you with macro shots for the next 2 days!
Happy weekend Blippers!
