So Long...

Taken a minute after the block door had shut two stories below. A final physical barrier between myself and M, and one that won't open again for four months. For the first time since we first met in America, it's going to be more than four weeks till we see each other again.

Right here, in this moment, I can't possibly imagine how the next four months will be bearable without her. A measley month of summer [which I am, don't get me wrong, very excited about] holidays followed by my first "final exam" based rotation, whilst everyone else is swanning off to all four corners of the world.

Right here, in this moment, I wish she would come back.

The door's always open though, awaiting her return.
