Feeding the Ducks
19 months 10 days
We started off the day pretty slowly. We had to wait in for a courier to collect some parcels and their schedule was "between 9 and 5.30". So we didn't rush. Katie spent yet more time playing dolls. I've found a tiny baby sleepsuit for her and she was delighted to have that to take on and off.
We did have a couple of jobs to do so we popped out to the highstreet for ten minutes. It was a glorious sunny day so she was pleased to be out in it. We saw several of our friends so it took a few minutes to get the jobs done!
She ate loads at lunch time and then settled down for her sleep. Thankfully, whilst she was in bed the parcels were collected. Bye bye Katie's pram and highchair. They went to new families today. And whilst neither got used very often (she preferred to walk and sit in the booster chair) it was still a little sad. But the money has been used to buy her fabulous new carseat, so that makes it more acceptable!
After she'd woken up, we went out in the sunshine. We took lots of bread for the ducks. And they did get some. Katie even gave them some. She was sat on the floor in front of the pond, happily throwing away. Then a duck flew into the pond, followed swiftly by two who were chasing him. They landed right near the wall and splashed Katie quite a lot! She thought it was rather funny, thankfully.
When we'd run out of bread, we went to library. The lady came and read stories with us on her break time. When she stood to go back to work, Katie scowled at her and pointed to the chair. Helen did of course sit back down and carry on.
We popped into the shop then met Tatiana and her mummy for a little bit. Tatiana was sat in her big (beautiful) traditional Silver Cross and Katie thought it was fabulous for playing peepo and running round. Since we got back, she's been dancing around the lounge to the Tweenie songtime.
