Inflatables

Dave and I headed up to Aberdeen today to take part in a Marine Mammal Medic Course, run by the British Divers Marine Life Rescue group. This course teaches us how to deal with stranded whales, dolphins & seals, which is why the BDMLR group was set up.

It was a really interesting course with lectures in the morning and then we headed to the beach to practise with an inflatable whale called Moby, the inflatable dolphin blipped here and an inflatable seal. They are also filled with water to make them heavy - very heavy!!

So now I'm a Marine Mammal Medic and waiting by my mobile phone for the first text to go help a wee seal/dolphin/whale in trouble on our beaches...........
