One daze at a time...

St Ann's Park

The Guinness family were so wealthy that they could afford the latest fad of the time: Roman ruins standing vigil over the water feature (pond?)of their country residence.
These mock-classical monstrosities are dotted here and there around the park.
Very 19th century... These days they provide shelter for cider can drinkers in a bucolic mood.
The current trend is to build houses that will look like ruins in 30 years time.
Very 21st century.
The lucky ones will have houses that outlive their mortgage?
