Paris!

Arrived in Paris just after 8pm on a very, very hot day. Met mum at St Pancras and got the Eurostar with her. Journey was without hitch but the taxi queue at Gard du Nord was enormous. It was well over 30 C and I thought I was going to pass out due to the heat, never mind my poor mum! Finally got to the hotel and they denied al knowledge of us booking a twin room....and they were full. Small room, queen size bed, mother who snores.... Hopefully they will move us tomorrow.

I went out for a quick walk in the evening. We are staying just off the Champs Elyees.
