The Next Step

Darren,Nathan and our son Luke, a tiny part of the 700 + Irish scout contingent heading to Sweden for the World Scout Jamboree.

For the next two weeks there will be 38,000 scouts from all over the world on a puropse built site that will be the fourth biggest city in Southern Sweden for the duration. What a fantastic trip and adventure, an amazing time awaits them. A stunning clash of cultures.

And yet for us there is a little tinge of sadness, Luke is well travelled and is always on the move, but this is our first Summer holiday without him. The days of buggies and kids clubs are well gone. We will miss him.

However, we head for the Greek island of Sifnos on Thursday...Happy Days...
