In Remembrance of my Folks

Ten years ago today we celebrated my parent's 60th anniversary and today would have been their 70th. Ten years ago, shortly after their anniversary would be the last time I'd see my mom alive. Three months later she suffered a fatal heart attack then my dad died within a little over a month later. I celebrate them today and miss them both dearly.

I wanted to blip a delphinium as my mom loved them and my dad loved the gardens. But mine looked terrible today so I chose this bee balm which is just beginning to open up. I think they would like this and hope you do:)

Sort of melancholy tonight reflecting on my parents and earlier saying goodbyes to the kids who returned to Spokane--over the mountains. Nothing replaces family love...altho friends really do become part of our family many many times...they just enrich it.
