Mondayitis strikes... AGAIN!
Why does Monday even exist?
More to the point, why does Mondayitis exist? I can't remember EVER having a good day on a Monday. Quite depressing, really.
It's not just me who is hit by the crankies on a Monday. Master Four Year Old is as well. As you can see in the photo.
Particularly today. He got dragged around to physiotherapy with me, which was a long session, as my hip is deciding to be a pain in the ass problematic. Cue bad words.
I thought I'd treat him to a hot warm chocolate and gingerbread man at out cafe to make up for it. But it wasn't good enough. We were hoping to catch up with a friend of mine today who he's a bit in love with. But we didn't catch up because of unexpected dramas surrounding her... And of course, it was my fault. Cue angry faces at me.
Get home, and his behaviour continued to get worse. He emptied the entire contents of a beanbag onto the livingroom floor. Cue bad words in my head.
Not only did he manage to empty contents of said beanbag onto the livingroom floor, he managed to spread the beans ALL OVER THE HOUSE. Cue bad words.
"Mummy... Why do you keep saying 'CHRIST!!', and all those naughty words?"
Clean up. Get a phonecall from the receptionist at the nearby hospital dealing with surgery I need on my jaw. I hate receptionists. This receptionist made my hatred grow. She was completely incompetent, and argumentative. Cue bad words...
Get off the phone. Master Four Year Old has created more mess by ripping up paper. Cue bad words... At volume.
Time for some wine, and an aromatherapy bubble bath, with some good music, a good book (I'm currently reading 'How To Kill Your Husband... And Other Household Tips' by Kathy Lette), and then... SLEEP!
Right after I send a thank you text back to The Boyfriend for quoting a part of one of my favourite songs, which is quite appropriate right now, and managed to make me smile a little.
"I need a map of your head translated into English
So I can learn to not make you frown.
I'd feel better if you vent,
Put your frustrations into four letter words,
And let them out on mine,
The most weathered ears in town."
