Souvenir

Mum and her friend came back from her trip to Thailand and Laos today and we both went to the airport to welcome the two ladies home.

They both single handed resolved the financial crisis in Asia by buying as much souvenirs they could and she brought a lot of wonderful presents with her. Elmer got this hat from the Akha tribe.

The hat is worn by young children and each year more decoration is added to the hat in honor the child's birthday. At first he didn't like it but later he enjoyed the sound of the bells when he was shaking his head.

For me she got a lot of Thai spices so we will be eating a lot of curries the next few days.

And today I reached my 1500th blip, hooray!
