Blip Challenge - Close up

Feeling much better today thank goodness.....still tired but was brave enough to attempt a sandwich at lunchtime and so far so good....lots of loud tummy gurgles but everything staying put so far!

Being stuck at home not well and only wandering from bedroom to loo and back again is proving a bit of a challenge re. finding a blip, so today's blip challenge of Close Up has been very welcome. No need to go far in seach of a blip, just point camera at mouth and click!

This is the offending molar that is due to be extracted tomorrow morning (a great week so far ending in a tooth extraction. Could my life be any more exciting?! lol)

As you can see there is only a tiny shell of the tooth left so on the face of it, it should be quite straightforward to remove. But this is me we're talking about. Nothing is EVER straightforward with me! Nope, it turns out that whilst there isn't much left above the gum, there is plenty root below the gum. So much in fact that according to the x-ray, the root goes way down to the facial nerve that runs along my jaw and removal of said tooth runs a considerable risk of disrupting that nerve and leaving me with permanent numbness or tingling. Hmmm.

Oh well, it's got to come out so no point in worrying about it! Just don't be surprised if tomorrow's blip is of me looking like THIS! :))
