Chuffed!

These are our certificates of nomination for a Scottish New Music Award.

We were put forward for nomination a while ago and we got through!!

We have been invited to the ceremony in Glasgow's Classic Grand on the 4th of September. I'm def going.

I know you are meant to be all cool and collected about these things. But, after 20 years of being in and around The Lorelei ( with an 8 year break but let's not get into that) it's really nice to get somewhere we have never been before.

We are hard to categorise. We have roaring guitars and bass and drums but have a viola, mandolin, fiddle, acoustic guitars and moothie's as well.

"Total thrash speed folk" was one recent description. Makes us sound like maniacs. We aren't by the way. It's just the sound we make when we get together that makes us smile and keep doing it.... We simply love it.

But, to get this? It's great and we are chuffed and we've never been "cool" anyway.
