Which way is the Sun?

The Sunflowers seem to be confused!

Maybe it's because it's not a sunny day...


These flowers are now several generations on from the seeds that we were first given. A very long-standing friend (I have known her for at least 56 years, and my wife has been her friend since they both started at the local High School together in 1950!!!) provided the original seeds from her garden, and she has subsequently moved several times and lost the "genetic line" as a result. We have apparently kept things going with a little 'plantation' set out annually. Of course, this does not produce show-size blooms, but probably gives a better chance of survival.

At least, we think the flowers are very pretty.
