Window Display
Friday night and Daughter A and I were taking in the evening sights of Wellington. It was pouring with rain so unfortunately not many good shots to choose from.
This window display portrays elegance and style from Wellingtons most prestigious department store Kirkcaldie & Stains, commonly known as 'Kirks'.
The store was established in 1863 by John Kirkcaldie and Robert Stain, it is the home to quality merchandise including many of the world's leading brands.
We ducked and dived through the heavy rain along the waterfront and finally took shelter in a little cafe with loud music, colourful decor and interesting characters where we chatted and laughed over hot chocolates which tasted soooo good.
Earlier on in the evening Daughter A had taken Hubby and I to a tiny Sushi shop where Sushi is half price from 4pm. Queing is the way to go for this popular takeaway - the sushi was divine!!
Hubby was not with us the whole weekend as he was attending a class reunion from his high school years, while I had a fantastic time with Daughter A.
