Mallard Ice Cream
I came out of the NSEA Board meeting at 9 o'clock tonight wondering what I could do for a blip. My first idea was to go to the Copper Hog and try to find interesting people to photograph, but I was tired and didn't feel like chatting somebody up just for a photo. It's better to have some spontaneity -- as in this previous blip. I decided to get some Mallard ice cream to take home instead. As always, it was a difficult decision, but I chose blackcurrant ice after a taste.
Mallard makes the best ice cream I've ever had. It's handcrafted in small batches with an emphasis on fresh, local, organic ingredients. The menu is constantly changing -- they have over 500 rotating flavors. Some of our favorites are cardamom, ginger, fig, and maple walnut.
Our grandchildren think a visit to Bellingham isn't complete without Mallard ice cream.
