from Lancaster - sunset over Morecambe Bay
well i've been getting a little weary of forced, emergency blips as i've just not had time to get out and about. however, this evening was a nice wee exception as i nipped across the road to Williamson Park while the sun was going down.
i'd actually planned to post a blip of the lovely Ashton Memorial building in the park, but couldn't resist snapping this beautiful scene. in spite of the dampness underfoot and the mist in the air, the sun was bouncing off the still waters of Morecambe Bay; the wind farm in the distance incredibly clear and (although not captured here) the silhouettes of the spires in Lancaster and the buildings along the front in Morecambe looked soft and stunning. the views across to the peaks and ridges of the Lake District were also wonderful, but again, not captured here!
booked our flights to sydney today - leave on the 23rd! very, very excited. *do not mention the millions of things still to do, with a trip to italy in between... we're a tad last minute*
