Around the house: A

A? Wait a minute, I'll explain.
Took a few pics - more posed than genuine - of Mrs RT bottling some of this year's crop of plums. You can see the tree through the window behind her with red blobs of plums ready to be picked before the blackbirds or wasps get them, but it was too windy today.
Anyway, none of the pics was up to much; the lighting was possibly better in a couple of others but I like this one because it looks like she's breaking an egg into the bottle of plums. Strange.

A? Eh? I thought an occasional alphabetical series of things around the house would keep me going when I'm stuck. I already know what W, X & Z are going to be but A? This had to be it, but how could I shoehorn the letter A into it?
Antique?
Auld wifie?
Axe murderer?
Any other suggestions?
