Beaten but beautiful

I find it so sad to discover beaten up butterflies at this time of the year, either due to the weather, wear & tear, or birds trying to get a piece of them... but they're still beautiful. I feel a bit like this butterfly today myself, but only the beaten part, not the beautiful! :)

No sign of *the boy* today again, that's 3 days now, or is it 4? He must be in the cattery then! :(
