Carry Out On The Hill

A very different Saturday as my wife commented on the drive home tonight. We all went swimming in the afternoon, hadn't taken Robs for ages. We then popped over to Edinburgh for dinner. After being grey, cloudy and raining on and off throughout the day, by 6pm the sky was blue and it was still quite warm so we took a walk up Calton Hill.

Plenty of people milling about, lot of tourists, lot of photographers and lots of people having a carry out. I was planning to blip a shot looking out across towards Princes Street, the Castle, Waverley station, Scott Monument - the one you have probably seen plenty times before on an Edinburgh postcard.

But on the way back down to the car I spotted this couple, having a few drinks and looking out towards Leith and the Forth. I hope whoever has the bike is planning to give their partner (well I assuming they are an item) a lift - or a backie as we called it when we were wee.
