Feeding the ducks

We were up pretty early this morning. Because we've a friend staying, who I felt deserved a bit of a lie-in, Katie and I did some colouring & drawing in the kitchen. She's interested in words and letters now, getting me to write lots of words of things & people she likes. She did wake our friend up after not too long, shrieking excitedly.

We went for a walk to feed the ducks. Katie is wearing a new outfit today, although the dress is a little long, I love it. And I saw the tights and just had to have them. She had a duck fly about 6 inches away from her head, which she wasnt too sure about, but that also made the duck run away, so it worked out fine!

We then went to church, and followed the Cousins for a lot of the way there. She was very excited to see them. Her uncertainty about nursery I think has wobbled her a bit at being left elsewhere, so when I took her to creche she was really unimpressed, but settled very quickly. When I came back, I watched her through the door and she was full of smiles and had been great. After church she had a play on the adventure playground and did a good job of going round the bridges, ropes and stuff.

She fell asleep on the way home and slept for two hours! She's had fun playing with her stacking bricks and climbing on her rocker this afternoon. She must like her new outfit as she's not taken any of it off at all, down to her boots!
