Glassy Waters
We took my Grandad's boat out on Loch Ailort today. It's called the Falcon and he built it about 50 years ago, but it's still in good condition, even though it's only used once a year and left in a slightly precariously built boat shed the rest of the time.
We set out at Glenuig and went to Goat Island, which has a vitrified fort on it. We had lunch there then went further down the loch before coming back to Glenuig. The water was amazingly still, and it's the only time I've seen truly "glassy" waters - it was almost like a mirror! We had really good views of the islands Eigg and Rum as well. Choosing a photo today was difficult - but I really like this one of the wake.
