This view made the run home via Calton Hill worthwhile.
This is the statue of Henry Dundas, the man who was influential in obstructing the abolition of the Slave Trade. Had he not been an interferring bastard slaves would have been history by 1792.
They had to wait until 1807 thanks to him. I wrongly assumed that most of these spectacular historic statues are mostly good guys.............WRONG!!
I bought the Glenmorangie 28yr old malt "Pride", hopefully a BIG investment for the bairns inheritances
