Surfing at Belhaven
Today we went surfing at Belhaven, just to the west of dunbar. It was my first time surfing in the North Sea - and it wasn't half as cold as I was expecting. As you can see the break was smooth, and I got a few rides I was happy with.
The weather was very changeable - one minute bright sunshine, and the next was a torrential shower. We soon learnt to time surfing for the rain, which we could predict from the huge clouds heading our way. The surf-soc put on a huge BBQ (meat only, much to the annoyance of the one vegetarian) and drinks.
We came home warm in the face from wind and salt; the shower had a line of sediment in it once we'd all showered.
