A Passage to India

Heathrow, Terminal 4 - ok, so it's not as romantic as the sea voyage in the days of the Raj, but there was still that tingle of excitement that you always get at the start of a journey as we made our way to the Boarding Gate, catching sight of these planes like a pod of whales through the plate glass. A long night of films and dozing to the usual selection of in-flight audio entertainment lay ahead before arrival in Delhi.
