Lovely long weekend

That's a bit of Chch Hospital in the background, where mum's ward is. Popped up to visit this morning and captured some people enjoying the Avon River (the Avon stream as Dave calls it, comparing it to the mighty Waikato!)

I liked the dreamy-like quality of my inability to focus on the punt so sepia-ed it. I quite like the result.

Mum much better, may be able to come home tomorrow. I am going to go and stay with her for a few days when she does head home.

Lovely long 4 day weekend for me this weekend. Got a bit done in the garden today - enough to take 130kgs of stuff to the dump. Dave cooking up a storm in the kitchen - chicken and mushroom risotto I believe. Must go pick him some herbs.

Rugby - thank goodness we won. But what a terrible 2 hours it was! I did expect the Abs to annihilate the French. The ABs did not play good on attack and the French played really well.
