Helter-skelter

The Big Day!

I could write reams about the wedding today - it was absolutely wonderful!

My brother and his fiancee were married by the Captain on the top deck of a beautiful yacht as it sailed around Marina Del Rey harbour, surrounded by about a hundred family members and friends. The nautical theme was carried through everything, from the bridesmaids' navy blue dresses to the shells decorating the dinner tables. The guests boarded to the theme from 'The Love Boat' - my brother's jokey idea for a bit of fun and it set a brilliant party mood right from the start. The centrepieces on each table were fish bowls with real, tiny goldfish (which guests could later take and give a good home!) and throughout it all we sailed by all manner of boats and seabirds.

It was such a perfect setting and the day was so full of love and happiness. My brother looked so handsome and proud and his fiancee wife - a beautiful person both inside and out at any time - was stunning. I think they had a magical day and I know they'll have a wonderful life together.

This has been one of the hardest blips I've ever had to choose. There were so many fantastic shots to choose from but although I picked this one in the end, I may cheat a bit and blip one of their wedding portraits on another day!
