Rain

And not just a little, as it may seem from this pic.

The rain torrents were insane, I drove home through pieces of little rivers, one so high most of my tires must have been underwater.

But I was still lucky, some areas were worse off. The Cinque Terre had huge rivers flowing through them, flowing cars and god knows what else through town. There is probably no way that this Unesco site won't be damaged.. have a look at Vernazza and Monterosso.

More madness: mud damage in Bonassola, and the washed away bridge (granted, it was not a very well built one, but still..) - before and after. Part of a highway also fell away, and there are at least 6 deaths. Not a very happy day for Liguria..
