Scorched earth - slowly healing

So, this is my first entry. Today is a special day, the eleventh day of the eleventh month of the eleventh year, so thought it was a good day to start my journal, 'El Camino' - after all, they say life's a journey .
This is the view from my terrace. Two months ago on September 11, 2011 a terrifying fire ripped through the Sierra de Ojen and Mijas and we were evacuated from our home.
Looking at the scorched earth and burnt trees is sad, but there is hope too - the mountain is healing.
